Day 8-Honey
Honey was a catalog color from 1937 to 1941 and 1965 to 1968. Honey has a warm reddish brown glow. I have assigned the name of Honey to this water bottle. I do have reservations about that because it appears to be “cased”. Notice the darker layer at the very bottom of the above photo.
Below are close-ups of the bottom and the top showing a fairly distinct layer. Layering one color of glass over another is called casing. This appears to be one of the earliest examples of cased Blenko glass. Other more recent examples of cased Blenko will be shown in the near future.
