Water Bottle Cleaning Brush

Water Bottle Cleaning Brush

I think that this is the perfect brush for cleaning water bottles.  Check out the photos below to see why.

This brush, because of the spikey little bristles on the top and the forward pointing bristles on the bottom,  has worked perfectly for me.  It’s unique configuration will get into every corner and cover every surface of the bottle interior.  The bristles are soft enough that they will not scratch.  I usually fill the bottle up with soapy, warm water and let it soak for an hour or so.  Anything that is left after a good brushing probably won’t come off without professional cleaning.  The brand name is Vileda and it is available on-line.  I noticed it is also available in a generic brush at Publix supermarkets for $2.49.  Your local store may carry it or a knock off as well.

If you put a little pressure on the brush, it will slide along the bottom underneath the circular indentation and cover the whole bottom while it goes from side to side.  The forward pointing bristles get into the lower corners.  Turn it side ways to get the indentation.  Below you can see how the short bristles get into the upper shoulder area.  As with cleaning any glass, be careful with the pressure used, especially on the thinner,  more recent glass.
